Bodyscape is a photographic and artistic exploration of the female body, through the experimentation of photographic materials.
The nude female form is presen throughout the history of art itself, but when it is portrayed through a photographic image it is immediately deemed ‘inappropriate’. This work questions the obsession with the sexualisation of the female body, and its representation in the photographic industry. Studying the natural form of the body, its details and its structure, while using surreal and complex imagery removing the focus from the controversial idea of being ‘naked’. Bodyscape transforms the nude female form into a piece of art in itself.
